On Saturday evening, Dallas Bay Fire & Rescue paused for a moment of fellowship to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and share a Christmas dinner together. Our 50th year of serving this community has been one of tremendous growth and success. We’ve faced challenges, adapted, and overcome them in order to serve you better. This morning, Dallas Bay Fire & Rescue Water Operations personnel joined a multi-agency effort to protect swimmers competing in the IRONMAN Chattanooga triathlon. For the swim portion of the event, competitors completed a 2.4 mile swim on the Tennessee River. This event required a massive presence of trained personnel to monitor and stand ready in the event of an emergency.
